The Earth is overwhelmed by non-biodegradable waste, landfill is full and a single-use plastic bag will take over 200 years to decompose. ​Using wool to represent nature and plastic bag yarn to wrap around and smother the wool, my abstract Earth sculpture will form the centrepiece of an immersive installation.

I invite you to watch the Earth turn slowly and to listen to sales assistants from countries around the globe asking if you would like a bag with your shopping. The soundscape represents the volume of people leaving shops with single-use plastic bags, adding to the global issue of plastic pollution.
